Beit Al Khair Society announced the launch of the third edition of its Ramadan campaign, “Haqqun Ma‘loom,” for the year (1447 AH – 2026 AD), during a press conference held at its main headquarters in Dubai.
The event was attended by the Society’s leadership and a number of its officials, during which the campaign’s objectives and the humanitarian projects to be implemented throughout the holy month of Ramadan were outlined.
During the press conference, Abdeen Taher Al Awadhi, Director General of the Society, announced the campaign’s targets and charitable initiatives, in the presence of Mohammed Ali Abu Rahima, Assistant Director General for Administrative Affairs and Resource Development, and Halima Al Dhahani, Assistant Director General for Research and Branch Affairs. He confirmed that the campaign aims to support and bring relief to more than 65,000 beneficiaries registered in the Society’s database, in addition to other groups among the most vulnerable, enabling them to meet their living needs and experience the spiritual and social atmosphere of the holy month.
Al Awadhi noted that this year’s campaign coincides with the declaration of 2026 as the “Year of the Family” by the UAE’s wise leadership. Accordingly, Beit Al Khair is focusing on supporting low-income Emirati families, improving their living standards, and enhancing their social stability through charitable programs and initiatives designed to ease their economic burdens during Ramadan.
He revealed that the Society has set an ambitious target of AED 68.9 million in spending under the “Haqqun Ma‘loom 3” campaign, to be distributed across a range of charitable projects and programs. These include the distribution of Ramadan food parcels (Meer Ramadan) valued at AED 7 million to support family iftars throughout the holy month, in addition to Zakat Al Fitr allocations amounting to AED 2.5 million, and Eidiya (Eid gifts) valued at AED 1.2 million, helping to bring joy to beneficiary families during Eid Al Fitr. The campaign also includes monthly cash and in-kind support totaling AED 7.6 million for low-income Emirati families.
He added that the Society aims this year to distribute 50,000 iftar meals daily, at a total cost of AED 18 million, and to set up 12 Ramadan tents, including the largest iftar tent in the UAE, capable of accommodating more than 8,000 fasting individuals daily. The campaign further includes the Gharemeen (debt relief) project with a budget of AED 6 million, as well as emergency assistance allocated AED 26.5 million to meet urgent needs and embody the values of social solidarity during Ramadan.
The “Haqqun Ma‘loom 3” campaign comes as a culmination of 37 years of continuous giving since the establishment of Beit Al Khair in 1989, during which the Society has spent over AED 3.1 billion to support eligible families from various social segments, in line with best practices and standards of quality and excellence—achievements that have earned the Society several prestigious awards.
At the conclusion of the press conference, Al Awadhi expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to benefactors, partners, and supporters from both the public and private sectors, praising their vital role in the success of Beit Al Khair’s previous campaigns. He particularly acknowledged Dubai Islamic Bank, the Society’s first strategic partner, and expressed the Society’s hope for continued support during this year’s campaign to further amplify the impact of giving and bring joy to the homes of deserving families.
