As part of the “Year of Community”, and in continuation of its efforts to support humanitarian initiatives aimed at empowering various segments of society, Dubai Courts has provided financial support to the “University Endowment” initiative, implemented by Beit Al Khair Society. The initiative aims to assist financially struggling university students and relieve the burden on their low-income families by helping them cover tuition fees.

This collaboration reflects Dubai Courts’ ongoing commitment to fostering a culture of giving and social responsibility, while supporting national efforts to empower individuals — in line with the directives of the UAE’s wise leadership to build a cohesive and compassionate society founded on values of generosity, cooperation, and solidarity.

Dubai Courts allocated AED 80,000 from the proceeds of its affiliated service offices for the 2024–2025 academic year, benefiting seven university students who had been unable to meet their tuition obligations due to limited family income. This support enabled them to continue their academic journey successfully.

The “University Endowment” initiative was launched in response to the call of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to innovate and invest in endowment models that offer sustainable development solutions and contribute to shaping the future. Dubai Courts was among the first government entities to respond, dedicating the revenue from its service offices to support struggling university students, and entrusting Beit Al Khair to allocate the funds through its “Tayseer” program for student support at all educational levels.

His Excellency Dr. Saif Ghanem Al Suwaidi, Director of Dubai Courts, stated:
“Dubai Courts is proud to partner with Beit Al Khair Society in supporting underprivileged students through the University Endowment initiative. We believe that investing in education is an investment in the future of our nation. We remain committed to supporting initiatives that promote social responsibility and empower youth to overcome financial obstacles in pursuit of their ambitions.”

For his part, His Excellency Abdeen Taher Al Awadhi, Director General of Beit Al Khair Society, said:
“Our fruitful collaboration with Dubai Courts in supporting underprivileged university students reflects a shared spirit of social responsibility aimed at building a cohesive and supportive community. We believe that endowment-based initiatives like this play a vital role in empowering youth and opening up educational opportunities for them, despite financial challenges.”
